Gunnar & Cindy Paulson
This is the bragging page. I've got a pretty special younger
brother; Gunnar Fortune Paulson. He was named after our father
and has more than lived up to the name. Gunnar was about 6
when our father died but never let that be an excuse. I'm
exceptionally proud of him and know dad would be also.
I'll get back to Gun in a second, but first, the pretty lady
next to him is Cynthia Leverette Paulson. They met in High
School (MaArthur HS) in Hollywood Florida and got married
just before Gunnar attended College (University of Florida).
Cindy helped Gunnar through school and life, gave birth to
and raised their 2 daughters, Amy and
Melissa, and then attended
and graduated from college (U of F of course) with a degree
in education and is now teaching. Shes also a fun lady.
Back to Gunnar. He has an IQ over 150, and was an All State
football player (Center - Middle Guard) in High School and received
a full athletic scholarship to U of F. He received both his BS and
MS degrees on that scholarship (scored the highest GRE marks of
anyone in UF to that date). He later returned and last year (1997)
completed his PhD.
Between those times, Gunnar coached football and weightlifting at
different High Schools, winning a number of state championships.
For a period of time he was on the University of Florida football
staff. In Febuary of 1998 he was elected to the Florida Coaches
Hall of Fame. He is presently working for the teachers union after
being elected by his peers as the Alachua county representative.
